New presidential candidates are gearing up for 2020. And, of course, we can’t fail to mention that a lot of these candidates are women like Senator Kamala Harris and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. All we can say is, love won’t be the only thing in the air this February. These women are ready to fight and win.

50 by 2050 FEBRUARY CALENDAR

FEBRUARY 2: HRC: Queer Caffeine with HRC

  • All Tied Up Floral Cafe
  • Appleton, Wisconsin
  • 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
  • Join HRC for a casual get together for members and allies of the LGBTQ community. It’s a great way to dip your toes into the Human Rights Campaign community.

FEBRUARY 2: HRC: HRC Columbus: Bowling Equality Forward

  • Sequoia Pro Bowl
  • Columbus, Ohio
  • 7:30–10:30 p.m.
  • The HRC is hosting a night of bowling to bring members of the Columbus community together. Get two hours of bowling or simply come to talk about how to make the world a more inclusive place.

FEBRUARY 2: HRC: 18th Annual HRC Greater New York Gala

  • Marriott Marquis, NYC
  • 5–10 p.m. EST
  • Join Gala Tri-Chairs Kristin Hurd, Greg Battaglia and Gary Hilbert for the 2019 HRC Greater NY Gala. Volunteer and celebrate the LGBTQ community and HRC’s call to action. Be part of the movement for full gender and sexuality equality.

FEBRUARY 9: IGNITE: Young Women Run North Texas

  • Tarrant County College, Trinity River Campus
  • Join us for an action-oriented conference focused on strategies for stepping up and owning your political power. You’ll hear from IGNITE alumna Karla Garcia, Representative Victoria Neave of the Texas House of Representatives and Devan Allen, Tarrant County Commissioner, Precinct 2.

FEBRUARY 9: IGNITE: Young Women Run Atlanta

  • Agnes Scott College
  • 9 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
  • Join us for an action-oriented conference focused on strategies for stepping up and owning your political power. You’ll hear from Congresswoman Lucy McBath and Representatives Park Cannon and Brenda Lopez of the Georgia House of Representatives.

FEBRUARY 12: Running Start: Young Women to Watch Awards

  • Embassy of Canada
  • Washington, D.C.
  • 5:45–8 p.m.
  • Join in on celebrating the 40 new women entering the 116th Congress. You’ll also get to meet Running Start alumna and vote for Running Start’s ambassador for the year.

FEBRUARY 23: HRC: 2019 North Carolina Gala

  • Le Meridien Charlotte
  • 555 South McDowell Street
  • 5 p.m.
  • Join HRC in North Carolina for its 2019 gala. Attend, donate or volunteer to head one of the tables at the event in order to show your support.
