We started out as a print publication at The University of Maryland, and grew to a 120,000 readership on 14 East Coast campuses. Today we’ve transitioned online reaching millions of college students nationwide.
University of Maryland graduate, Amanda Nachman ‘07, founded College Magazine during her senior year with the advisory assistance of the University’s Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship. Nachman partnered with Les Kollegian from Jacob Tyler Creative Group in 2008 and went on to win the University of Maryland’s Cupid’s Cup Business Competition, sponsored by Kevin Plank, Founder and CEO of Under Armour in 2009.
We have an ambitious and talented student team of editors mentoring staff writers, bloggers and photographers from universities nationwide. While providing our team with publishing and journalistic growth opportunities, we’re able to provide our readers with genuine advice to help them make the most of their college experience.
