Your First College Party: Expectations vs. Reality

No one can deny that having a social life is a huge part of the college experience. If you go to a large state school, parties might come in the form of fraternity ragers, and if you go to a smaller liberal arts college maybe they’re a tad smaller and more sophisticated. Either way everyone has expectations about college parties – the girls are expecting mature college men while the guys are ready for sexy college women. I hate to be the one to break it to you, but Hollywood has lied to you my friend. Combining immaturity, hormones, loud music and alcohol does not make a pretty picture. Whether you’re out every night of the week or you’ve only braved nightlife once it’s a sad reality we all discover eventually about college parties.
