We are a new and fresh Online Marketing agency here in San Diego and are looking for a summer intern. We are a small start up seeking talented individuals that want to learn and be part of a fast and growing industry. Unlike HUGE companies, we don’t make you get coffee or make photocopies. Instead. you’ll be involved in our everyday operations and work closely with our leadership team.
You will be reporting to our General Manager and working closely with our Senior Account Manager.

Requirements:
• Mac lover and/or PC user
• Loves being creative and a passion for marketing and technology
• Great understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
• Understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator and any other Adobe Suite applications
• Basic knowledge of html
• Knowledge and high interest in online/social/digital marketing industry
• Willing to be flexible with work hours (20-40/week)
• Must be self motivated and sufficient
• Must live in San Diego and can receive credit for a summer internship course
• Familiar with Social Media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
• Willingness to learn and be proactive in the internship role

Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinating with the Account Manager on various client projects
• Working closely with the General Manager on various projects
• Market research on competitors
• Conceptualizing and brainstorming with the team on ideas and concepts for clients
• Assisting in the planning and execution of various marketing campaigns
• Work with the designers and developers on various projects
• Must be a self starter and be able to work with little supervision

Australian Education International (AEI) is the international arm of the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and has an office at the Embassy of Australia, Washington, DC. We work with American and Canadian education institutions, policy-makers and governments to strengthen the bilateral relationship.

AEI North America is currently seeking a policy intern to begin in August through November 2012 to work on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). We will provide the intern with a stipend of $1000 per month.

Policy internships typically run for four months from August to November and from January to April.

Summary of Duties:

The intern will assist with researching, monitoring, and reporting on US and Canadian education policy, attend and report on education events, and assist the policy manager with supplemental duties as requested.
Desired Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Have completed at least two years of college
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Have strong research and analytical skills
• Have the ability to work independently and in a team

It’s that time again! Calling all aspiring golf writers. Golfweek.com is now accepting submissions for its National College Writing Contest, which will award Summer 2012 internships to college journalists across the country.

What’s at stake?: As an editorial intern, winning students will serve as contributing writers to Golfweek.com. Specifically, interns will be responsible for writing features and news stories focused on junior-level golf across the country during the summer of 2012.

Who can enter?: Ideal candidates are journalism/communications students with backgrounds in newspaper, magazine or online sports reporting. Strong copy-editing skills and knowledge of golf and AP Style are a must, as is the ability to think creatively and generate story ideas.

Students across the country are eligible to apply and relocation is not necessary, as duties may be performed remotely. Internship duties would take up roughly 10-12 hours per week and scheduling is very flexible.

How to enter?: The theme for this year’s contest is “Your ideal round of golf.” Candidates should provide an original, thoughtful essay (less than 800 words) describing their best round of golf (real or fictional).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in trafficking footwear and apparel samples for all editorial, broadcast and celebrity requests - creating sample loan out sheets, bagging up samples, bringing shopping and garment bags to mailroom, checking in and restocking returned samples, etc.

- Update and maintain media database and influencer database with current editorial and influencer contacts for both footwear and apparel collections.
- Assist at special events and press previews.
- General administrative duties including photo copying, department organization, press kit production, mailings, distribute magazines, expenses and mail distribution, etc.

COMPENSATION: $20/hour
