Us Weekly is currently looking for well-qualified individuals to intern in
the editorial department of the magazine’s New York headquarters. Interns
must be highly-motivated, organized, upbeat and responsible individuals
with an interest in celebrity news and pop culture.

Interns are expected to work a minimum of two full days from 10 a.m. until
6 p.m. (but should understand that longer hours are sometimes required as
we work to meet deadlines to close the issue.) ***One of the two days MUST
be Wednesday.

Some duties that will be expected of interns include: conducting phone
interviews, transcribing taped interviews, conducting man-on-the street
polls, researching, covering red carpet events and press
junkets/conferences, etc.

We’re looking for students for our Fall 2012 Student Health 101 Campus Correspondent Internships! The Campus Correspondent will interview students on camera about the health and wellness issues affecting students today...informing students about handling stress, staying active, eating well, getting along with roommates, and much more.

This is an academic year-long internship, usually about five hours of time each month. The majority of time spent filming short video clips of students on your campus for the monthly issue of Student Health 101. We provide a digital camera, so it's easy to record interviews with students who want to talk about the healthy decisions they're making.

The Technical Assistance Intern will work closely with the Technical Assistance Program Director to manage all aspects of a young, growing training and consulting program housed within PeacePlayers International (PPI). PPI is a global nonprofit organization that uses the game of basketball to bridge divides, develop leaders and change perceptions. With ten years of experience in diverse settings, PPI is now sharing its unique organizational expertise with individuals all over the world interested in learning more about its best practices, lessons learned and methodology. The Technical Assistance Intern would be involved in all aspects of program growth, including curriculum development, sales and marketing, fundraising, research, logistical management and more. Administrative work typically constitutes only 15% of time. All duties occur in PPI's Washington, DC, headquarters office. Interns typically work 16-24 hours per week.

AGVSPORT offers a bona fide internship experience that will not only prepare you for today’s job market, but will transform you into an asset for any company YOU choose to work for. This is not an internship that consists of atypical grunt work, but hands on experience through direction and personal management.
Desired Characteristics:
• Knowledge and ability to write press releases
• Phone etiquette
• Basic understanding of email (Outlook)
• Experience in marketing collateral (flyers, advertisements, promotions)
