Description of the internship
Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is currently looking for a Intern for Contract Negotiation and Administration for the Bethesda, MD office. Sucampo is a commercial stage, global biopharmaceutical company with two FDA-approved drugs based on its proprietary prostone technology. The company is headquartered in Bethesda, MD and has operating company subsidiaries in Japan, the UK and Switzerland.
Job Summary:
Assist a director and administrator within the Law department with the negotiation and administration of contracts related to a large-scale international clinical trial. This is a temporary, part-time, winter internship.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Working in the Bethesda office with other Contract team members and Clinical Research team members to process contracts related to a large-scale international clinical trial (needs to be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel)

· Desire to explore contract negotiation management related to clinical research and development
· Previous experience using Excel to capture data elements for a database
