Description of the internship
Do you have a strong interest in magazine design and art direction? Do you pick up magazines when traveling to see how other countries’ design styles differ from the US editions?

If so, then this internship might be the perfect fit for you. HMI is looking for dedicated and proactive interns to work in the design department. You will get the chance to assess international layouts and covers, work on various design projects, maintain walls of layouts and covers as well as research and scan inspiration layouts for brand books.

Candidates must have a strong interest in magazine design and photography, excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. The intern needs to be resourceful, responsible and a creative problem-solver.
Experience with Photoshop and InDesign required, as well as a major relating to graphic design. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is appreciated. This internship has a commitment of 2-3 days a week and is for school credit only.
