iPhones are becoming more popular on campus these days, and with school beginning, there are a few essentials that every iUser must have. Check out my top 10 iPhone applications based both on practicality and necessity for life in college.

 

 

 

  1. iFitness - As a personal trainer application, iFitness allows you to create custom workouts through suggested exercises with full instructions and receive exercise logs from your daily routine via email to keep track of your progress.
     
  2. FakeCalls - Whether you are on bad date or stuck in an awkward conversation with someone down the hall, the FakeCalls application will rescue you from just about any awkward situation.
     
  3. Sportacular - Receive the latest sports news and score updates with this program. It offers up-to-the-minute news on your favorite NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MSL teams necessary for every sports connoisseur.
     
  4. Nationwide Mobile - While you may not be a Nationwide customer, you will be happy that you have this application in the event that you get into an accident. Nationwide Mobile is a free service that guides you through the process of collecting information after an accident— ideal or commuters and internship-goers.
     
  5. AroundMe - This allows you to search for and find anything from a bank or a restaurant to a gas station or a hospital near you with a full-detailed navigation map. It makes dates and traveling much easier—especially for spur-of-the-moment plans.
     
  6. G-Park - Tracking-down your car now only requires a simple press of a button. The application also has a built-in timer so you can see how long you have left on your meter.
     
  7. Pennies - Store and keep track of a monthly budget by recording every purchase and transaction made and be more wary of your spending.
     
  8. Instapaper - Stay current on current events. Now you can come back at any time and read the latest headlines at your convenience
     
  9. iTalk - Whether you are recording an interview, a song at a concert or notes for a lecture of a class you would rather sleep in, iTalk is a voice recorder that helps you stay on track.
     
  10. reQall - Forgetful? Now you can type up or record reminders that can be sent by alert, voice recording, email or text messaging.
