I don’t get the Megan Fox thing, and My Favorite Ginger is Okay!
- On August 20, 2009, the wait will finally be over…season six of Project Runway will premiere on the Lifetime network that night. After nearly nine months of legal battles over rights to the show (between Lifetime and NBC Universal) Tim, Heidi and, a brand new group of wannabe fashion designers are only a few weeks away!
Plus, Heidi won’t be the only one with a cool European accent; three of the sixteen contestants are originally from Bosnia, Russia, and the Republic of Georgia.
Honestly, I don’t care where these people are from; as long as they’re as quirky and as certifiably crazy as last season’s contestants (Stella loves leathahhhh…anyone?) I’ll be watching. I just hope Lifetime can “make it work!” I love Tim Gunn.

Make it work, people!
- Ryan Gosling. Playing guitar. In a band. No, this is not another one of my celebrity fantasies (though it would be a good one…), it’s real. His band is called Dead Man’s Bones, and they’re releasing their debut album on October 6th. Here’s hoping that the album cover somehow involves a picture of Ryan shirtless, because let’s face it: are you really going to buy the CD just to listen to the music? I didn’t think so.
- Since when does one hot chick earn $300 million for a movie in two weeks? Apparently, that’s Megan Fox’s only talent. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has successfully swindled millions of dollars from horny guys everywhere, regardless of the pitiful reviews the movie has received. I know, I know, lots of girls have gone to see it too… and on behalf of my gender, I’m embarrassed. It’s one thing if your boyfriend offers to buy you the large popcorn/soda/candy combo (and pay for the tickets), but I don’t get why any girl would willingly fork over her own money to see this movie. Yeah, Shia’s in it, but really? Wait for the DVD, girls. It’ll be just as mindless as the movie in theatres now, and will probably have hours worth of even dumber bonus features.

Oh yeah, this looks like an Oscar contender.
- Speaking of movies, one that I’m actually excited to see is the newest Harry Potter! It comes out next Wednesday, July 15, and people like me will be lining up at midnight to see it. One of the movie’s stars recently contracted the dreaded swine flu, but was well enough to attend the premiere in London on Tuesday night. Rupert Grint, who plays my personal favorite, Ron Weasley, is feeling much better now, but admits he was pretty scared when he was told that he’d caught the possibly fatal virus: “I thought: ‘Am I going to die?” Thankfully, my favorite ginger is still alive and well, being his usual adorable self as he treks around the world to promote Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

I think swine flu made him even cuter.
