What Not To Wear To the Bar

Ashley Troost

I’m a college student who likes going to the bar. However, because I am a busy college student, I can’t be hung over in class after a night out. Thankfully, I’ve found a way to keep myself entertained when I’m Sober Sally for the night: Making fun girls sporting fashion faux pas. If you’ve ever questioned your own going-out attire, please review my top five outfits to avoid embarrassment:

Need I say more?

Need I say more?

T-Shirt as a Dress: It’s called a T-Shirt for a reason. Nothing is more laughable than seeing an underage college chick try to get into a bar wearing a shirt for a dress. No one will respect you, and chances are you won’t get in. If you are of age, you should know better.

Those Jeans Don’t Fit: Really ladies, I know you want to wear the tightest pair of Sevens you own, but if your rear-end is hanging out, you’ve made the wrong choice.

Yoga Pants…I mean Leggings: Come on! Leggings with a dress might be acceptable if you really have nothing to wear, but leggings with a t-shirt? How old are you? More importantly, how lazy are you that you can’t throw on a pair of jeans? If you really want to commit a fashion crime, throw on a pair of those leggings that are supposed to look like tight leather pants.

The Belly Shirt: Hey, you’re not Shakira. I don’t care if you have great abs and a thin waist, wearing a shirt that doesn’t cover your bellybutton is S-L-U-T-T-Y.

The Bubble Dress: For some reason, girls love to wear dresses that flow outward and are tight at the bottom, making them look quite a few pounds overweight. If you’re interested in looking on the thin side, this outfit is not for you.
